What is enteric coating?
It is a special coating that controls the location in the digestive system where the capsule opens and is absorbed.

What does this mean for me?
The coating helps to reduce the fishy aftertaste that you may experience with omega-3.

Is this still the same pill as before?
Yes. The amounts of omega-3 are still the same (EPA - 300 mg & DHA - 200 mg).

Viteyes® Omega-3 provides high potency omega-3 in a convenient 1 softgel per day. Each pill contains 1,000mg of omega-3 fatty acids, 300mg eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 200mg docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Viteyes® Omega-3 comes in a 90 easy-to-swallow softgel (3 month supply) bottle. Viteyes® Omega-3 is not a replacement for Viteyes® AREDS Formulas, but rather an excellent product to take with the other Viteyes formulations.

In October 2001 The National Eye Institute (NEI), part of the Federal government's National Institutes of Health, completed a 10 year major clinical study called the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS). AREDS proved that patients taking a special formula of antioxidant vitamins plus zinc were more likely to retain their macular health.

AREDS researchers have also found that patients with the highest intake of Omega 3 fatty acids had a 50% greater likelihood of retaining their macular health.*
