Some forms of vision loss are out of our control, but there are some ways we can impact our vision health. Below are 4 areas that directly impact the health of your eyes:
1. UV light: If you’re not wearing your shades, you need to! UV exposure negatively impacts our vision and may even cause cataracts or blindness.
2. Smoking: Smoking is bad for your health in general, but it is also bad for your eye health. Smoking had been directly linked to eye disease and vision loss.
3. Poor Diet: Our diets hold the key to our health. If we eat a healthy diet, our bodies function better, including our eyes. When our nutrition lacks, even our eyes can take a negative toll.
4. Use of Digital Screens: Living in a digital age, it’s nearly impossible to avoid digital exposure. It is possible though,to reduce our use or take breaks to give our eyes a rest.
